Employment Verifications
An employment verification is a response to an inquiry by a prospective employer, a government agency, or an outside entity, such as a lending institution, that the current or former employee is or was employed by your organization. In most cases, the requesting organization wants verified: dates of employment, salary information, and whether the individual is still employed by your organization. In the case of employment verification requests by prospective employers, information about the employee’s performance and potential rehire are often requested. It is also not unusual for the employment verification to request job or title and salary history, in addition to current or most recent employment information.
Some candidates may be less than truthful about their employment history. Additonally, internal research shows this to be the number one discrepancy on resumes and job applications. C U CLEAR employment services thoroughly verifies information on your applicant’s resume, dates of employment, starting and ending positions and salaries, reason for termination, and eligibility for re-hire are examples of some of the information employers are asked to verify. C U CLEAR further its verification by interviewing current of former supervisors of an applicantĀ to gain more personal knowledge of the applicant’s skills and overall performance to include patterns of misconduct and violations. An Employment Verification can differentiate honest mistakes from truly egregious attempts to further one’s career through blatantly inflated claims of salary and responsibility, or even attempts to cover up significant gaps in employment which should otherwise be explained.
